NIGHT RATING

OVERVIEW

A Night Rating allows a student pilot with a valid license to fly an aircraft visually during the night. This additional qualification opens up new possibilities for flying and enhances the pilot’s skills and experience.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • A private pilot license holder
  • Education Qualification: Must be cleared with all the theory exams of the Private Pilot Licenses.
  • Medical Requirements: The candidate should fit according to the medical standards of DGCA CLASS 2 MEDICALS.

TRAINING AND FLYING REQUIREMENTS

  • Ground Evaluation (Oral)
  • Unusual attitude and VOR interception
Special Note: The hours mentioned above adhere to the standards and guidelines of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). However, these hours may vary according to the requirements of the country selected by candidates for their pilot flight training.
